Australian family throw a surprise 13th birthday party for their dog

A family from Perth, Australia has thrown a surprise birthday party for their 13 year old dog, Bailey. No expenses were spared for the occasion.

It’s hardly surprising that dogs are nicknamed man’s best friend given their unconditional love, loyal companionship, and the warm welcome when we get coming home from work.

It is normal to show our appreciation for our much loved dogs. Although one family from Perth, Australia recently honoured their family dog by throwing him a surprise birthday party! It’s safe to say their furry friend was delighted. Katie D’Souza shared a video and photos to commemorate the birthday of their family dog, Bailey. Bailey turned 13 years old on February 5th.

The whole family threw a surprise birthday party for the pet and clearly they spared no expense as they provided a large cake. They blew out the candles, sang a birthday song and even gave birthday gifts!

In the video, the family sing Happy Birthday while Bailey buzzes with enthusiasm—moving around on his chair, gazing at his owners, eager with anticipation to get stuck in to the cake in front of him.

The Facebook post was captioned: “Happy 13th birthday to our boy BAILEY! He brings us so much joy and we love him heaps!”

Although Bailey does not grasp the concept of a birthday, he still showed his appreciation for his family’s grand gesture by brandishing a constant smile. Bailey received a hot-dog chew toy for his birthday, as seen in the photo below.
